Past June 28, during Shanghai MWC, AIS Channel, Zerintia Technologies, China Mobile and Mediapro have teamed up to perform the first tele-assisted operation using 5G technology on the Asian continent.
Dr. Antonio de Lacy, Head of the Gastrointestinal Surgery Service of Hospital Clinic of Barcelona, served as a mentor, assisting Dr. Chuangang Fu and his surgical team live and in real time.
The software developed by Zerintia in collaboration with AIS Channel, already made history last February at the MWC in Barcelona, where the first 5G teleassisted surgery of history was performed.
The surgery carried out in Shanghai shows the importance of collaborations between experts for the Health sector.
