The Hospital 12 de Octubre in Madrid recently held two trauma surgeries with the 4Remote Health solution from Zerintia Technologies. On this occasion, the team led by Dr. Arantxa Capel used a portable 4REMOTE Health station where the following signals could be integrated in real time :
- Overhead camera for a global view of the operating room.
- Augmented Reality glasses for the surgeon's point of view
- X-ray signal
The 4RemoteHealth solution provides the operating theatre with the latest technology in remote, real-time communication and interaction with the outside world, in order to facilitate collaboration, advice and the dissemination of clinical knowledge. Its main use cases are:
- Webinar or Master Class
- Remote connection with an expert (Teleproctoring).
- Content recording: recording for dissemination of clinical knowledge.
At the Hospital 12 de Octubre, during the first surgery, another member of the team made annotations, painted images, zoomed images, screen shots, recordings, etc... from inside the operating theatre. In the second surgery, it was from outside the operating theatre that a group of professionals were directing and giving indications to the operating theatre team.
